Harrow School offers Community Art Classes

Through Shaftesbury Enterprise, boys at Harrow School engage purposefully and genuinely with their local community, in the spirit of the 19th-century reformer, philanthropist and Old Harrovian, the 7th Earl of Shaftesbury (The Head Master’s 1813³).

As part of Shaftesbury Enterprise, Harrovian artists put together a five-week course in drawing and painting for senior citizens who live in the area around the School. The hour-long mid-afternoon classes started in January 2019 and take place in the Art School every Wednesday until mid-February.

The classes are likely to be offered again in the future. No experience is necessary. For further information, please contact Mr Laurence Hedges, Director of Art, at lwh@harrowschool.org.uk.
